Alocasia, "Low Rider"
Alocasia, "Low Rider"
The Alocasia Low Rider is a dwarfed plant with wavy-edged leaves, that are extremely popular due to their full foliage.
☀ ☀ Light :
Enjoys bright indirect light while indoors, part shade is advised for outdoor planting.
Water :
Alocasias are water loving plants, so their soil must be kept moist all year long. Allow the top 2 inches of soil to dry out before watering again. It may be beneficial to keep this plant near a humidifier to replicate the conditions of a tropical climate.
+ Plant Tip :
Alocasias are extremely heavy feeders so in order to promote growth and overall health they need water soluble fertilizer, either 20-10-20 or 20-20-20. When it comes to repotting it depends on the size of the plant, smaller plants that can be left on tables need to be repotted 12 to 18 months. The size of the pot should only be 1’-2’ wider in diameter, if the pot is too large it can stunt your plant’s growth.
